| Founded in 1945 in the jewellery quarter of London it originally offered a service to the local market in the purchasing of scrap jewellery but this developed to include the processing of residues arising from the manufacturing workshops. In later years the expertise gained in the reclamation of materials from the jewellery industry was developed further into other industrial markets. With the acquisition of the former Lea Ronal refinery in Buxton, Derbyshire, the Presman Mastermelt Group can offer a variety of refining services to all industries using precious metals.
